 REN vs STR Toss Prediction

Four out of the seven matches played at this venue last season were won by the side batting second. So the team that wins the toss in this match will more likely opt to chase.

 REN vs STR Weather Report

Partly cloudy skies with no rain threat has been forecast for this game. 23-26 degrees Celsius is the expected temperature range during the course of the match.

 REN vs STR Pitch Condition

The Docklands Stadium did not witness many high-scoring encounters last BBL season. So one can expect a pitch that will have something in it for both batsmen and bowlers.

Team NEWS:

 REN Team News

Melbourne Renegades made just the one change to their side for the previous game against Hobart Hurricanes; they dropped Jack Wildermuth and brought in test specialist batsman Marcus Harris. The team will be going into Sunday's clash against Adelaide Strikers with a clean bill of health and could turn up with an unchanged eleven. Tom Cooper was pushed down the order last time and his batting position was taken by Marcus Harris.

 STR Team News
Adelaide Strikers chose experience over exuberance in their last match against Melbourne Stars as they replaced Harry Conway by Peter Siddle. The latter put up a good show with the ball and has probably sealed his spot for this upcoming encounter against the Renegades. The Strikers are coming on the back of a win and so we don't expect them to tinker with their current combination.

 Predicted Lineups (Playing11):

 Melbourne Renegades

Sam Harper (wk), Aaron Finch (c), Shaun Marsh, Marcus Harris, Beau Webster, Tom Cooper, Daniel Christian, Cameron Boyce, Kane Richardson, Richard Gleeson, Harry Gurney.

 Adelaide Strikers

Philip Salt, Jake Weatherald, Matthew Short, Alex Carey (c/wk), Jonathan Wells, Rashid Khan, Cameron White, Cameron Valente, Peter Siddle, Wes Agar, Billy Stanlake.

 WK:

-Sam Harper will open the innings for Hobart. He is a decent batsman who had played 22 T20 matches at an average of 18.47 with strike rate near to 140. He is a popular pick today in SL selected by 60% users. Good punt C VC choice. Scored decent 39 & 15 runs in first two matches but unfortunately got duck in last game.
-Alex Carey will bat at two down for STR. He is a must have pick in SL today considering his consistency. He is a good batsman having Average of 25 in 35 T20 matches with good strike rate. Smashed a century too in this format. played good knocks of 42, 83 & 21 runs in last three matches respectively.
-Philip Salt is a young talent who had been very good in his 50+ games T20 career as he is having average of 25.86 with strike rate more than 150. Available in only 8.5 credits and selected by less users in SL. He will open the innings so can become good pick in SL if STR opts to bat 2nd. Though didn't managed to play any good knock in last three games.
-Cameron White will bat at three down. He is an experienced batsman who had played 235+ T20 games and batted at an average of 31.09 with strike rate near to 130. He is a technically sound batsman who usually plays responsible innings. He is a decent bowler too as he has taken 26 wickets from these matches. Must have pick if STR opts to bat first. Didn't got to bat much in last three games but can emerge out as good punt if 1-2 wickets falls early.
-Jonathan Wells is another good batsman having good record against in BBL. He is a consistent batsman who had batted at an average of 31.14 in just 79 T20 games with decent strike rate too. He will bat in middle order and a good pick in SL especially if ADS opts to bat first. Smashed 55*, 18* & 68* runs in last three matches. Punt C VC choice.
-Shaun Marsh is a must have pick in SL considering his experience of playing 170+ T20s a impressive average of 38.86 with good strike rate too. He has smashed two times centuries too in this format. -Tom Cooper is a decent batsman who has experience of playing 136 T20 games at an average of 23 with good strike rate too. Selected by only 17% users but as he will bat in middle order so can be proven as good punt pick in SL if REN opts to bat first. Got out early in all the last three games but took 2fer in one of the Games.
-Beau Webster is an impressive batsman who had batted very well till now in his T20 career as he had played 19 matches and batted at an average of 32 with strike rate near to 130. He will bat at three down. Good pick in SL especially if MR opts to bat first. Got out early at only 17 runs in first match but smashed 67* runs in very next game. Again got out early in last game at only 11 runs.
-Marcus Harris is a good batsman who had played 40 T20 games and batted at an average of 22.92 with good strike rate too. He will bat at two down and as he can play top knock so becomes must have pick if REN opts to bat first. Played a decent knock of 20 runs in last match.

 All Rounder:

-Daniel Christian is another good pick in SL who will bat down the order and bowl couple of overs too. He is an experienced all rounder who has been very impressive in his T20 career of more than 300 matches in which he has smashed 4550+ runs with help of two centuries and taken 226 wickets too. Another Punt C VC choice in SL. Though didn't bowled much in last three games and got out early too so expected to see a good knock today.
-Matthew Short is another good all-rounder who had been very impressive in his FC & List A career. He had played only 20 T20 games at decent average of 15 with bat. He hadn't been much impressive with his bowling in this format as he had taken only three wickets but as he will bat at one down and expected to bowl couple overs so can emerge out as good pick in SL. Scored decent 34 runs in one of the last three matches.

Gone wicket less in both last two matches.
-Wes Agar is a young talent who doesn't have much experience of playing prolific leagues but can emerge out as good punt in SL considering his short List A career which is good. Available in less credits too. Took 2fer & a wicket in last two matches.
-Peter Siddle is a wicket taker bowler who has experience of playing much international cricket and T20s too. He had taken 43 wickets in his 48 matches career at decent economy rate too. Bowled very well in last game by taking 3fer. Must have pick in SL today if ADS opts to bowl first.

He has experience of playing more than 150 T20 matches and taken 187 wickets from them with good economy rate too. Took 2fer & a wicket in first two matches respectively. Gone wicket less in last game.
-Cameron Boyce will do the late hitting and bowl full 4 overs of his quota too. He holds good record against the opponent team. Taken 74 wickets in his 70+ T20 matches career with decent economy rate too. Good pick especially if MR opts to bowl first. Gone wicket less in both first two matches but got a wicket finally in last match.

-Alex Carey and Shaun Marsh are other two safe C VC choices in SL.

 Key Players:

 REN Key Players:

Shaun Marsh:
He seems to be in fine form and has contributed with the bat in all three matches. The top-order batsman struck a quickfire half-century against Perth Scorchers last week.

Aaron Finch:
The Renegades captain is having a strike-rate of 144.59. After decent knocks in the first two matches, Finch fired last time against the Hurricanes scoring 50 off 37 balls.

Kane Richardson:
He is one of the major threats in Melbourne's bowling attack. The fast bowler notched up a four-wicket haul against the Scorchers and he will be expected to deliver a similar performance on Sunday.

 STR Key Players:

Jonathan Wells:
A key man in Adelaide's middle-order batting, Jonathan Wells is yet to be dismissed this season. He now has two fifties in three games - 55 against Sydney Thunder and 68 in the last game against Melbourne Stars.

Jake Weatherald:
He is topping the BBL run chart with 146 runs at an average of 48.66 and strike-rate of 167.81. Weatherald smacked a 47-ball 83 against the Scorchers last Monday to help his team post a match-winning total of 198.

Peter Siddle:
The pacer is looking in good rhythm at the moment. He claimed 3-24 last time against Melbourne Stars and bowled an impressive final over to win the game for the Strikers.

 Team Forms:

 Melbourne Renegades:

Melbourne Renegades currently find themselves at the bottom of the pool with three defeats in three Big Bash League matches. They lost to Sydney Thunder by six wickets in their opening game before losing their next two games - against Perth Scorchers by 11 runs and Hobart Hurricanes by 7 wickets. The Renegades have not been up to the mark with the ball in the last two matches.

 Adelaide Strikers:

Adelaide Strikers are second on the BBL 09 points table with two wins and a washout from three league matches. Their campaign opener against Sydney Thunder had ended in a no result due to poor visibility caused by smog. The Strikers then secured wins in their following two matches - against Perth Scorchers by 15 runs (DLS method) at home and against Melbourne Stars by 4 runs in a tight contest at Queensland.

 SQUAD:
Melbourne Renegades: Aaron Finch(c), Sam Harper(w), Shaun Marsh, Tom Cooper, Daniel Christian, Beau Webster, Alex Doolan, Cameron Boyce, Richard Gleeson, Harry Gurney, Kane Richardson, Will Sutherland, Jack Wildermuth.
