Team NEWS:

 STR Team News

Sitting on top of the point table, the team made its hat-trick of victories by winning the previous matches against Melbourne Renegades by 18 runs. The batting unit is relying on the likes of opener Philip Salt who scored 54 off 26 balls followed by skipper Carey and Jonathan Wells who scored 41 and 20 runs respectively. All-rounder Rashid Khan has been a dependable player throughout the matches as he marked his presence both with his ball and bat.

Siddle, Agar and Valante have been performing their duties well, by clinching wickets when required. The team will look forward to win over the Strikers at Adelaide.

 THU Team News
Losing the last match against Sixers ina close call of just 1 run, the team is in the 3rd spot of the point table. Having made an opening partnership of 48 runs, Usman Khwaja and Alex Hales acted as torchbearers for the following batsmen.  The lower order was disappointing while Callum Ferguson made his second half century in the match.
Chris Tremain proved to be an expensive bowler with no wickets at giveout of 37 runs in 4 overs. Chris Morris and Daniel Sams bagged 2 and 1 wickets respectively. Jonathan Cook, Arjun Nair and Chris Green forming the spin trio, had been able to caste their spell in the receding matches.  On paper, the side is not as strong as it was last year. But they have been quite consistent this season.

 Adelaide Strikers

Philip Salt, Jake Weatherald, Matthew Short, Alex Carey(c&wk), Jonathan Wells, Cameron White, Cameron Valente, Rashid Khan, Peter Siddle, Wes Agar, Billy Stanlake.

 Team Guide:

 WK-

-Matthew Gilkes is selected by 13% users only who will bat at two down. Played less than 10 T20 matches and batted at an average of 17 in them with good SR. Good credit saver punt in GL today. Didn't performed well in any of the last three games but expected to see a decent knock today if gets to bat.

-Alex Carey will bat at one down for ADS. He is a must-have pick in SL today considering his consistency. He is a consistent batsman who have experience of playing 60+ T20 games at an average of 31.46 with a good strike rate too. Scored 44,55, 45 & 41 runs in last four matches respectively. Good C VC choice.

 Batsman:

-Jake Weatherald will open the innings for ADS. He is another must-have pick in SL who had been very good in this league from the last couple of seasons. He is a good batsman having Average of 25 in 35 T20 matches with a good strike rate. Smashed a century too in this format. played good knocks of 42, 83 & 21 runs in first three matches respectively but got out early in the last match.

-Philip Salt is a young talent who had been very good in his 50+ games T20 career as he is having an average of 25.86 with a strike rate of more than 150. Available in only 8.5 credits and selected by fewer users in SL. He will open the innings so he can become good pick in SL if ADS opts to bat 2nd. Though didn't managed to play any good knock in first three games but finally smashed 54(26) runs in last game.

-Cameron White will bat in the middle order. He is an experienced batsman who had played 235+ T20 games and batted at an average of 31.09 with a strike rate near to 130. He is a technically sound batsman who usually plays responsible innings. He is a decent bowler too as he has taken 26 wickets from these matches. Must have pick if ADS opts to bat first. Didn't got to bat much in last four games but can emerge out as good punt if 1-2 wickets falls early.

-Jonathan Wells is another good batsman having good record against in BBL. He is a consistent batsman who had batted at an average of 31.14 in just 79 T20 games with a decent strike rate too. -Alex Hales will open the innings for Thunder. He is an experienced batsman who had played more than 237 matches and batted at an average of 29 with good SR too. He has smashed three centuries and 41 half-centuries from these matches. Another good pick in SL and choice of C VC. Though got out at single-digit runs in the first match but smashed 68 & 34 runs in last two games.

-Daniel Sam's is a good bowler rather than a batsman who had taken 28 wickets in just 23 matches at a decent economy rate too. He can play some good knocks if he get to bat many ball's. -Billy Stanlake had also taken a wicket in last season against the opponent in every match. He has been very consistent in the T20 format as he had taken 65 wickets in just 54 matches at a good economy rate too. Good pick in SL especially if ADS opts to bowl first. Gone wicket less till now in the last three matches though.

-Wes Agar is a young talent who doesn't have much experience of playing prolific leagues but can emerge out as a good punt in SL considering his short List A career which is good. Available in fewer credits too. Took 6 wickets in the last three matches.

C VC Choices -
+Alex Carey
+Alex Hales
+Callum Ferguson
-Alex Carey & C Ferguson can be the best C VC in SL today.
-Alex Hales and Callum Ferguson are other two C VC choices in SL.

 Key Players:

 STR Key Players:

Rashid Khan:
Having won 'Player of the Match' twice in the league, the all-rounder has been in an attacking mode at both ends. With 8 wickets to his kitty as of now, he has bowled at an economy rate of as minimum as 3.75. He can turn the game into the favour of the Strikers with his swift pace and bowling tactics.

Philip Salt:
The opener has been giving good performances for his team this year. His 26-ball 54 was instrumental in their victory against the Renegades. The batter will be looking to repeat his performance in the upcoming game as well.

 THU Key Players:

C Ferguson:

The Captain has been in good form as he made some good runs to be added to the total team score. He has been leading the pack wisely and is expected to repeat the same in the upcoming duel.

Usman Khawaja:

Usman Khawaja has been rolling out runs from his bat consistently in the matches played so far. His opening partnership with his counterpart had been vital in laying the foundation of run total of the team.

 Team Forms:

 Adelaide Strikers:

The team has been in great form with 3 victories at a stretch in BBL 2019-20. With players like Philip Salt, Rashid Khan, Weatherald and Carey performing splendidly and adding runs to the total score of the team, the batting unit seems quite confident in creating or chasing a huge score. The bowling segment comprising of Rashid, Agar and Siddle can stifle the batting unit of Sydney Thunder, if they hold true to their form right from he scratch.

 Sydney Thunder:

The team is striving to keep up to the form and expecations of their followers. With 2 straight victories in their initial matches, the team had a no result match against Adelaide Strikers. The defeat faced in the last match was a testimony of the fact that the team has the winning spirit and would not be giving an easy win to the top spot holders.

 SQUAD:
ADELAIDE STRIKERS:
Philip Salt, Jake Weatherald, Alex Carey(w/c), Jonathan Wells, Rashid Khan, Cameron White, Matthew Short, Cameron Valente, Peter Siddle, Wes Agar, Billy Stanlake, Harry Conway, Harry Nielsen.
