A little bit cloud cover should not detract from what will otherwise be a good evening weather-wise for cricket.

 HUR vs HEA Pitch Condition

Hobart generally favours batting, although the bowlers could get something out of the wicket early on.

Team NEWS:

With Matthew Wade still away on international duty, Hobart could be unchanged from the team which has played each of the last two matches against the two Melbourne teams in BBL 2019-20.

-Sam Heazlett is a decent batsman who had played 21 T20s and batted at an average of 16 only but his SR of more than 120 makes him a good punt in SL as he is available in only 8.0 credits and selected by only 48% users. -Caleb Jewell is a young talent who had just played 13 T20 matches at decent average of 18.4 with decent average too. He had performed very well in list A career and smashed a century in that format.  Key Players:

 HUR Key Players:

D’Arcy Short: The Big Bash icon, and top scorer in each of the last two seasons, has hit two half-centuries already this season too – helping them to wins against Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Renegades.

Qais Ahmad: The Afghan spinner has taken six wickets so far, including a match-winning 4-12 in the opening game. His wicket against the Renegades was his 50th in T20 cricket aged just 19.

James Faulkner: Took 2-11 in the win against Sydney Sixers, missed the next game and then took 3-26 and 2-10 in the two matches since. While he has only batted once so far, he is capable of some lusty late blows with the bat too

 HEA Key Players:

Chris Lynn: Having been in stunning batting form in the T10 League in Abu Dhabi, he got back to that with 94 from 35 balls – including 11 sixes – in the Brisbane’s only win so far.

Tom Banton: The big-hitting English batsman scored 64 against Melbourne Stars and will be keen to get back to his best form after announcing himself on the T20 stage with some excellent performances in 2019.

Zahir Kahn: Took 2-18 with the ball last time out to move to four wickets from four economical bowling spells so far. The 21-year-old Afghan spinner now has 55 wickets in 43 T20 appearances.

 Team Forms:

 Hobart Hurricanes:

Hobart have won two and lost two so far, with both defeats coming against Melbourne Stars. That includes a rain-affected loss last time out when they posted just 69/5 from 11 overs and James Faulkner’s 2-10 could not keep the Stars below the DLS par when more rain fell after 7.3 overs of the reply.

It was in stark contrast to their win against Melbourne Renegades, when Faulkner and Nathan Ellis each took three wickets to bowl the defending champions out for 147 before D’Arcy Short’s 60 from 45 balls helped lead the chase. The Hurricanes won by seven wickets with five balls to spare.

 Brisbane Heat:

Brisbane Heat have won just once so far this season, though that was a dominant victory against Sydney Sixers. Chris Lynn smashed 94 from 35 balls and Matt Renshaw hit 60* from 39 in a total of 209/4, before they restricted the Sixers to 161/7. Next up, however, the batting fell well short. Chasing 150 to beat Perth Scorchers, they were bowled out for just 109 – having been 51/7 and 78/9 along the way.

 SQUAD:
HOBART HURRICANES: D Arcy Short, Simon Milenko, Caleb Jewell, Ben McDermott(w/c), David Miller, George Bailey, James Faulkner, Nathan Ellis, Clive Rose, Qais Ahmad, Riley Meredith, Scott Boland, Macalister Wright.

BRISBANE HEAT:  Tom Banton, Max Bryant, Chris Lynn(c), Matt Renshaw, Sam Heazlett, Jimmy Peirson(w), Ben Cutting, Mark Steketee, Josh Lalor, Ben Laughlin, Zahir Khan, Matthew Kuhnemann, Jack Prestwidge.

All the best
