 IND vs SA Toss Prediction

India are on a good run of fortune when it comes to the toss, having won it all three T20i matches against the West Indies last month. They have showed they are equally happy batting or bowling first, though the latter is the norm in India.

 IND vs SA Weather Report

The temperatures should be more than 30 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, with clear skies and a very low chance of rain forecast.

 IND vs SA Pitch Condition

A lively pitch which offered extra pace for the fast men has slowed down more recently, but there is still something to get out of the Mohali wicket for bowlers of both disciplines.

Key Players:

 IND Key Players:

 Rohit Sharma:
The opening batsman is India's leading run-getter in the T20 internationals with 2422 runs which includes 4 hundreds and 17 fifties. Rohit had cracked 106 off just 66 balls in the T20I against South Africa at this ground in 2015 and the team will want him to deliver a similar performance on Sunday.

 Virat Kohli:
The India skipper is always a key player for his team irrespective of the format. He has scored the most runs for India in T20Is after Rohit Sharma and has 21 half-centuries under his belt. Kohli was also the best batsman for his side in the recent T20I series against the West Indies.

 Hardik Pandya:
Back in the squad after being rested, the all-rounder was one of the stand-out players in the IPL before a decent showing at the World Cup too. He took 14 IPL wickets and hot 402 runs at a strike rate of more than 190.

 Navdeep Saini:
The fast bowler has been impressive in the game's shortest format. He finished as the best bowler in the T20I series against the Windies with five wickets and an economy rate of 7.09. Navdeep is likely to bowl in the powerplay and he will be expected to make a few early strikes.

 SA Key Players:

 Reeza Hendricks:
The opening batsman seems to be in good nick at the moment with back-to-back fifties while playing for South Africa A against India A. Hendricks had also topped the runs charts in the home T20I series against Sri Lanka earlier this year.

 Rassie van der Dussen:
Named vice-captain, the batsman has excelled in the last 18 months or so. This will be his 100th full T20 appearance and he has scored 3152 runs with a strike rate of 131.11 in the previous 99.

 Quinton de Kock:
The big-hitting wicket-keeper-batsman has not played since the World Cup, which he signed off from with a half-century. He was third top-scorer at the IPL, however, as he led Mumbai Indians to victory with 529 runs in 16 innings
He has been appointed as the team's captain for this series and he will be looking to lead from the front. The left-handed batsman is one of South Africa's leading run-scorers in the format and he struck a half-century in his previous international innings - two months ago against Australia in the World Cup.

 Kagiso Rabada:
The South African quick will pose the biggest threat to the Indian batsmen in this T20I series. He has picked 25 wickets in the 19 matches he has played in the format and the onus will be on him to rattle India's top-order in the powerplay overs.

Team Forms:

IND  Team Form

India’s most recent T20i series was against the West Indies. They won the first two matches in Florida and then carried that form into the Caribbean to complete a 3-0 series whitewash. The bowlers were key, limiting West Indies to 95/9 and 98/4 (from a reduced 15.3 overs) in the first two matches. In the final game, Deepak Chahar took 3-4 from three overs to restrict West Indies to 146/6, and Rishabh Pant hit 65* to top-score in a seven-wicket win.

SA Recent Team Form

South Africa are unbeaten in their last four T20i series, all of which were played last winter. They whitewashed Sri Lanka most recently, having previously beaten Pakistan, Australia and Zimbabwe. Pakistan were the only team to even win a game against the Proteas. The Sri Lanka series, their most recent, ended in a big win against the tourists. Reeza Hendricks and Dwaine Pretorius scored half-centuries in a total of 198/2 before Andile Phehlukwayo took 4-24 to help bowl Sri Lanka out for 137.

All the best
