  • Jamaica Tallawahs' final home game of the 2019 Caribbean Premier League sees them take on St Kitts & Nevis Patriots at Sabina Park.
  • The Tallawahs have won just once so far this season, but were all out for 137 against table-topping Guyana Amazon Warriors in their most recent game.
  • St Kitts & Nevis Patriots have won their last two matches in a row, to add to their record chase of 242/6 when these teams last met, at Basseterre.

 SKN vs JAM Toss Prediction

Jamaica Tallawahs have won the toss in each of their last three matches so they are due to lose one. St Kitts & Nevis Patriots are unlikely to break the trend of bowling first.

 SKN vs JAM Weather Report

Kingston is forecast thunderstorms all week, though they are forecast to clear from 8pm onwards – as long as the outfield dries, there is still a chance of a full game.

 SKN vs JAM Pitch Condition

Traditionally a lower-scoring wicket than some of the others in the Caribbean, the Warner Park pitch produces an even game between bat and ball. A first-innings average of 160 in this competition shows there are still runs to be found, however.

 Team NEWS:

 JAM Team News

Fit-again Andre Russell was one of the only Tallawahs players to impress last time out, and his return is a boost for the Tallawahs. Jade Dernbach has also come into the team in the last two matches, after flying out as a late replacement. Oshane Thomas was another to come back into the team, but he was expensive and he will have to do a lot better if he retains his place. Rovman Powell has missed the last two games through injury.

 SKN Team News
Alzarri Joseph and Shamarh Brooks returned last time out, in place of Usama Mir and Kjorn Ottley, with the former in particular in much improved form. After two wins in a row, the Patriots are unlikely to make sweeping changes for this trip to Sabina Park.

Key Players:

 JAM Key Players:

 Andre Russell:
Back from injury and straight back into form too. The all-rounder took 2-35 last time out and then smashed 40 from 19 balls.

 Chris Gayle:
Scored his 22nd career T20 century when these teams last met and recently passed 13,000 runs in the format. At his best, he remains one of the world’s finest hitters at the top of the order.

 Glenn Phillips:
Back in form alongside Gayle opening the batting. He has scored 58, 62, 28 and 40 in his last four innings for the Tallawahs. He also has six catches and a stumping behind the wickets this season too.

 SKN Key Players:

 Evin Lewis:
In good form this season, having hit a half-century when these teams last met before scores of 65 and 45 in the last two wins, helping to set the tone with some big hitting at the top of the order.

 Sheldon Cottrell:
The saluting West Indies’ paceman has taken six wickets in the five games so far, though he has not quite hit the heights of his 3-13 on the opening night yet.

 Carlos Brathwaite:
Though he has not done it consistently, the last match was a reminder of why Brathwaite is so revered. He took two wickets with the ball, before hammering 64 with the bat and then starred with both in the super over too.

Jamaica Tallawahs have won just one of their six matches so far this season. That victory came against Barbados Tridents, when Zahir Khan took 3-20 to restrict them to 140/9 from their 20 overs. In reply, Chadwick Walton hit an unbeaten half-century to guide the Tallawahs to a four-wicket win.

Last time out, however, they failed to back it up. After conceding 218/6 against Guyana Amazon Warriors, they then fell to a miserable 137 all out in reply.

SKN Team Form
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots have come back into form to keep their CPL 2019 season alive. First, Akeem Jordan took 4-33 on his T20 debut to restrict St Lucia Zouks to 138/9, before Evin Lewis’ 65 from 30 balls ensured they made light work of sealing a six-wicket win.

Then, last time out, Carlos Brathwaite was the hero. He took two wickets as Trinbago Knight Riders – previously unbeaten – posted 216/4 and then hit 64 from 30 balls as the Patriots reached the same score for seven down. In the super over, Brathwaite hit 17 of the Patriots’ 18 runs and then defended it with an excellent over of his own.

All the best
