 IND vs NZ Toss Prediction

New Zealand lost the toss in their most recent T20i in Auckland and was put in to bat first. They may want to field first this time out.

 IND vs NZ Weather Report

Though Auckland is set to be humid on Friday, there is very little chance of rain. Conditions will be cloudy but dry otherwise.

 IND vs NZ Pitch Condition

Eden Park favors spin bowling thanks to its slower pitch and humid climate, but it can also be a good surface to bat on – as was showcased last time New Zealand played a T20i here.

Team NEWS:

 IND Team News

Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out in NZ vs IND T20 series due to the shoulder injury he suffered against Australia and has been replaced in the squad by Sanju Samson. Mohammed Shami and Rohit Sharma were rested for India’s most recent T20i series but both are back in the squad and likely to slot straight back into the team.

 NZ Team News
Trent Boult and Lockie Ferguson are out injured which means Hamish Bennett, on the back of his good bowling form in the 2019-20 Super Smash, could make his T20i debut and represent New Zealand for the first time since May 2017. Colin de Grandhomme will play the first half of the series, with Tom Bruce to take over from game four, while Daryl Mitchell retains his place in the squad at the expense of Jimmy Neesham. Matt Henry, Tom Latham, Seth Rance, Doug Bracewell, Will Young, and Adam Milne all missed out on selection due to various injuries.

IND vs NZ Fantasy Team Guide:

 Team Guide:

(We will help you to make a better Fantasy Team with this Team Guide. Do use your brain and instincts before making the final decision)

 -Lokesh Rahul
will open the innings for IND. He is a top class batsman who had been very impressive in his 37 matches T20 career at an average of 44.17 with strike rate near to 150. Performed really well in last series against Sri Lanka by scoring 50+ scores in both matches. Good C VC choice in SL.

 -Tim Seifert
will bat at two down who is selected by only 44% users in SL. He is a decent batsman who had batted at an average of 18.6 in 19 T20 international matches with strike rate near to 140. He can be proven as good punt in SL if NZ opts to bat first.

 -Virat Kohli
will bat at one down. He is an evergreen player who is currently no. 1 batsman in the world having Average of 52 in 78 T20I matches with SR nearing 140. Must have pick in SL and default C VC too. Played very well in last couple of ODI & T20 series. Though he doesn't have good record against NZ but his current form makes us expect to see a good knock today.

 -Shreyas Iyer
will bat at two down. He is another young talent who is in form of his life as he is playing very consistent cricket as seen in last couple of series and in domestic cricket too. He is having Average near to 22 in just 17 matches with good strike rate too. Good pick in SL if IND opts to bat first.

 -Rohit Sharma
is another must have pick in SL today who had been the most attacking batsman especially in T20 format from a while. He is a big player who is expected to play top knock today. He is having average of 32 from 104 T20I games with strike rate near to 140. Another C VC choice in SL.

 -Manish Pandey
will bat at three down for IND. He is another consistent batsman who had batted at an impressive average of 41.2 in 33 T20 matches with good strike rate. He is more consistent than Iyer so must
pick him in SL if IND opts to bat first. Best C VC Choice in GL.

 -Martin Guptill
is an experienced batsman who will open the innings for NZ. He had played 83 T20 matches at an average of 33.36 with strike rate nearing 140. He is an attacking batsman who will either play a good knock or gets out early. His last 5 T20 matches were pretty good.

 -Colin Munro
will open the innings with Guptill. He is a must have pick in SL considering his form in T20 cricket and record against IND. He had batted at an average of 30.92 with strike rate of 160 in 60 T20 international matches. He had performed really well against IND. He can bowl too if required. C VC choices in SL.

 -Kane Williamson
will bat at one down. He is a consistent batsman who had batted at an average of 31.25 in 57 T20 matches with decent strike rate. Though his form wasn't so good in last couple of T20 matches but he is a big player who can play a good knock today. Punt C VC choice.

 -Ross Taylor
will bat at three down. He had been more consistent in ODI & Test cricket than in T20 format. He is having decent average of 25 from 95 T20 matches with strike rate of 120. He is a reliable batsman who usually scores 20-30 runs easily. Good pick in SL if NZ opts to bat first.

 -Colin de Grandhomme
will bat in middle order and bowl couple of overs too. He is an impressive all-rounder who had been very consistent from last couple of years. He had batted at an average of 19 and taken 10 wicket too from 33 T20 International matches. Another good pick in SL and C VC choice.

 -Mitchell Santner
is more off a good bowler than a batsman as he had taken 49 wickets from 39 T20 matches at economy rate of 7.20 only. He had batted at an average of 15 too which shows that he can play some shots. Must have pick in SL if NZ opts to bowl first as he had bowled well against INDIA during there last series.

 -Daryl Mitchell
will do the late hitting and bowl couple of overs too. He is going to make his T20 International debut today as he had performed really well in his 162 matches T20 Domestic career in which he had batted at an average of 22 and taken 92 wickets too at decent economy rate.

 -Washington Sundar
had played 21 T20I matches till now and taken 18 wickets from them. He isn't very good batsman but can hit some good shots as he will bat down the order. Performed very well with bowl in recent times as he was opening the bowling in every T20 match last year.

 -Ravindra Jadeja
is another must have pick especially if IND opts to bat first as he will bat in middle order and bowl full 4 overs too. He is in good form right now as seen in last couple of series. He had played 46 T20I games and taken 35 wickets in them, batted at decent average too.

 -Navdeep Saini
is an emerging talent who hadn't played much T20I cricket but he had taken 36 wickets in 40 domestic T20 cricket at economy rate of 7.18 only. He had played 5 T20I cricket and taken 6 wickets too from them. Good pick in SL.

 -Jasprit Bumrah
is a must have pick in SL and punt C VC choice too. He is currently one of the top bowlers in international cricket. He had taken 51 wickets in just 42 matches at economy rate of 6.71 only. His yorkers are very tough to play.

 -Mohammad Shami
is another good pick who had been the highest wicket taker bowler of year 2019 in ODI cricket. He is having 136 wickets at his name from just 72 ODI games at at economy rate of 5.50 only.

 -Yuzvendra Chahal
is a wicket taker who had been very consistent in his 37 match T20 career as he is having 52 wickets at his name at decent economy rate too. He is seen to take wickets at crucial times. He had taken couple of wickets during there last T20 series in 2019.

 -Tim Southee
is another impressive bowler who had taken 75 wickets from just 64 T20 International matches at decent economy rate. He too had performed really well during there last T20 series in year 2019. Must have pick if NZ opts to bat first.

 -Ish Sodhi
had taken 6 wickets from 5 Matches during his last T20 series against IND which makes him good pick in SL. He is a impressive bowler who had taken 47 wickets from just 40 matches at decent economy rate too.

 Key Players:

 IND Key Players:

 Virat Kohli:
The India captain has scored 24 T20i half-centuries and averages 52.72 in the format, with a strike rate of 138.53. His importance can never be understated.

KL Rahul:
In India’s last four T20i victories, the big-hitting opener has scored 62, 91, 45 and 54. He is instrumental at the top of the order and his T20i record is excellent – an average of 44.17 and a strike rate of 146.39.

Jasprit Bumrah:
Not only does the paceman take wickets in T20i cricket, but he keeps things impressively tight for someone who bowls in the powerplay and at the death. His economy rate of 6.69 runs per over in T20i cricket is testament to that.

 NZ Key Players:

Martin Guptill:
Though not quite enough to lead Auckland to victory, the big-hitting opener finished the Super Smash in great form. He has scored 345 runs in his last eight T20 innings and passed 7,000 runs in the format in total.

Colin Munro:
Guptill’s opening partner for New Zealand and Auckland Aces, he has an average of 30.92 in T20i cricket and a strike rate of 160.04 – enough to place him fourth in the world rankings for batting.

Mitchell Santner:
Took 11 wickets in the recent T20i series against England, and the left-arm spinner’s next will be his 50th in T20i cricket. He sits third in the ICC T20i Bowling Rankings.

 Team Forms:

After 2-1 series wins against Bangladesh and West Indies, India added another series success to their card by beating Sri Lanka 2-0 last time out. Rain ruined the first game of the series before Shardul Thakur took 3-23 as India restricted Sri Lanka to 142/9 and claimed a seven-wicket win in the second game. In the third match. KL Rahul top-scored with 54 in a total of 201/6, before Navdeep Saini (3-28) and Thakur (2-19) helped bowl Sri Lanka out for 123.

 New Zealand:

New Zealand’s last T20i series was also five matches and saw them take on an experimental England team in what proved to be a pulsating series. England opened the series with a win, but Mitchell Santner’s bowling and a half-century from Colin de Grandhomme were instrumental in turning the series around. New Zealand fell well short in reply to 241/3 in the next game, however, setting up a decider in Auckland. Martin Guptill (50 from 20 balls) and Colin Munro (46 from 21) helped power New Zealand to 146/5 in a rain-reduced 11-over match but Jimmy Neesham could not defend 12 from the final three balls and the match went to a super over. There, Tim Southee conceded 17 runs and Tim Seifert, Martin Guptill and Colin de Grandhomme could only combine to score 8/1.

Rohit Sharma, Lokesh Rahul, Virat Kohli(c), Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant(w), Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Kane Williamson(c), Tim Seifert(w), Ross Taylor, Colin de Grandhomme, Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Ish Sodhi, Blair Tickner, Scott Kuggeleijn, Hamish Bennett.

All the best
