  • India could complete a series whitewash against New Zealand as they conclude their five-game T20i series at the Bay Oval.
  • India won the first two matches relatively comfortably, before two consecutive super-overs, which the tourists managed to win both of.
  • New Zealand was on the brink of victory last time out, but lost four wickets for six runs in the final over to force another one-over decider- and their poor run of super-over form continued.

 #INDvsNZ Toss Prediction

New Zealand has won three consecutive tosses, so India – who could look to field first – are overdue winning this one.

 #INDvsNZ Weather Report

As ever in Tauranga, there will be wind whipping across the Bay Oval pitch to contend with but conditions will otherwise be hot and sunny.

 #INDvNZ Pitch Condition

The Bay Oval wicket is well-balanced, but the location and shape of the stadium mean there is a strong wind factor that could dictate proceedings too.

Team NEWS:

 IND Team News

India rotated players as expected last time out, as Sanju Samson, Washington Sundar, and Navdeep Saini all came into the team. Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammed Shami were the players rested. Kuldeep Yadav and Rishabh Pant could also feature in this final match of the series, with KL Rahul among those possibly in line to be rotated out.

 NZ Team News
Tom Bruce slotted in for Colin de Grandhomme as expected last time out, while Daryl Mitchell also made his first appearance of the NZ vs IND series with Kane Williamson missing out with a shoulder injury. The New Zealand captain is hopeful of a return for the final game of the series, but with one eye on the ICC T20 World Cup, Mitchell could be handed another chance and so it may be Ross Taylor who is rested.

IND vs NZ Fantasy Team Guide:

 Team Guide:

(We will help you to make a better Fantasy Team with this Team Guide. Do use your brain and instincts before making the final decision)

 -Lokesh Rahul

will open the innings for IND. He is a top-class batsman who had been very impressive in his 41 matches T20 career at an average of 45.7 with strike rate near to 150. Performed really well in the last 10 T20 innings by scoring 50+ runs six times. Best C VC choice in SL. Smashed two times 50+ and decent 27 & 39 runs too from last 4 matches.

-Tim Seifert

will bat at two down who is selected by only 60% users in SL considering his last matches Performers. He is a decent batsman who had batted at an average of 19.6 in 23 T20 international matches with a strike rate near 140. He can be proven as good punt in SL if NZ opts to bat first. Played two good knocks of 33 & 57 runs from the last 4 matches.

-Sanju Samson

is expected to play this match too as India has won the series. He will open the innings for IND in the absence of Rohit. He is a class batsman which we have seen during IPL seasons. Though he had failed to play even a decent knock in the last three T20 International matches but expected to use the opportunity today. He is having an average of 27 in the T20 career. Good punt in SL and C VC choice in GL.

-Virat Kohli

will bat at one down. He is an evergreen player who is currently no. 1 batsman in the world having Average of 51.8 from 82 T20I matches with SR nearing 140. Must have a pick in SL and Choice of C VC too. Played very well in the last couple of ODI & T20 series. Played two good knocks of 45 & 38 runs from the last four matches. Still, a top knock is due from him so expected to see that in this game.

-Shreyas Iyer

will bat at two down. He is another young talent who is in form of his life as he is playing very consistent cricket as seen in the last couple of series and in domestic cricket too. He is having Average near to 29 from just 21 matches with a good strike rate too. Must have a pick in SL if IND opts to bat first. Played two match-winning knocks of 58*(29) & 44 runs in the first two matches. Though failed to play well in the last two matches but expected to finish off the series in style.

-Manish Pandey

will bat in the middle order for IND. He is another consistent batsman who had batted at an impressive average of 41.2 in 36 T20 matches with a good strike rate.
A good pick if IND opts to bat first. Best C VC Choice in GL. Though he didn't get much opportunities to showcase his skills in the first three matches but smashed 50(36) runs in the last match at a crucial time.

-Martin Guptill

is an experienced batsman who will open the innings for NZ. He had played 87 T20 matches at an average of 33.36 with strike rate nearing 140. He is an attacking batsman who will either play a good knock or get out early. Played quick knocks of 30, 33 & 31 runs in three of the last 4 matches. He has a top-notch record at this ground, scoring three 50+ scores in four innings which makes him a lethal pick in SL.

-Colin Munro

will open the innings with Guptill. He is a must-have pick in SL considering his form in T20 cricket and record against IND. He had batted at an average of 30.92 with a strike rate of 160 in 64 T20 international matches. He had performed really well against IND. He can bowl too if required. C VC choices in SL. Smashed 59 & 64 runs in two of the last 4 matches. He too has an incredible record at the game venue with an average of over 61, a strike rate of more than 193, two centuries and one fifty in just five matches.

-Kane Williamson

will bat at one down. He is a consistent batsman who had batted at an average of 31.25 in 60 T20 matches with a decent strike rate. Though his form wasn't so well last year but he is a big player who had batted well in this series till now. Good C VC choice. played two quick knocks of 51(26) & 95 runs from the last three matches. Though he had missed the last match due to injury but expected to get fit for this game.

-Ross Taylor

will bat in the middle order. He had been more consistent in ODI & Test cricket than in the T20 format. He is having a decent average of 25 from 99 T20 matches with a strike rate of 120. He is a reliable batsman who usually scores 20-30 runs easily. Good pick in SL if NZ opts to bat first. Smashed beneficial 54(27)* runs in the first match but got out at only 18, 17 & 25 runs in the last three matches.

-Tom Bruce

will bat at three down. He is a talented batsman who had batted really well in the recently concluded domestic T20 league. He had batted at an average of 21.5 in 16 matches with a good strike rate too. Good credit saver pick in SL today especially if NZ opts to bat first. Though got a duck in last game but expected to see a decent knock in this match.

All Rounder-

-Mitchell Santner

is more of a good bowler than a batsman as he had taken 51 wickets from 42 T20 matches at an economy rate of 7.20 only. He had batted at an average of 15 too which shows that he can play some shots. Must have pick in SL if NZ opts to bowl first as he had bowled well against INDIA during there last series. Got three wickets from last four matches.

-Scott Kuggeleijn

will bat down the order and bowl full overs too. He is a decent bowler who had taken 6 wickets from 11 matches. Though his economy rate is more than 9 but his hitting skills with bat at strike rate of 216 makes him good punt in SL. Good C VC in GL. Got a wicket in last match.

-Shivam Dube

is a young talent who though doesn't have much experience of playing international cricket but his record in FC & List A career makes him a good pick in SL especially if IND opts to bat first as he will bat at three down and bowl a couple of overs too. Scored 13 runs in first match and got two wickets too from last four matches.

-Washington Sundar

is a good bowler and hard hitter too. He had taken 18 wickets from 22 matches at economy rate of 6.94 only. His Strike rate of 162.5 makes him good pick in SL especially if IND bat's first. He will do the late hitting and bowl couple of overs too.

-Shardul Thakur

is a good bowler who had bowled well from the time of his debut last year. Though he had played only 13 matches but taken 17 wickets from them at a decent economy rate. He had performed well in List A & FC career too. Good credit saver punt in SL. Got six wickets from the last four games.

-Jasprit Bumrah

is a must-have pick in SL and punt C VC choice too. He is currently one of the top bowlers in international cricket. He had taken 53 wickets in just 45 matches at an economy rate of 6.71 only. His yorkers are very tough to play. Bowled well in the last four matches by taking three wickets from them.

-Navdeep Saini

is an emerging talent who hadn't played much T20I cricket but he had taken 36 wickets in 40 domestic T20 cricket at an economy rate of 7.18 only. He had played 6 T20I cricket and taken 6 wickets too from them. Good pick in SL. Bowled well in the last match but gone wicketless so expected to perform better in this match.

-Yuzvendra Chahal

is a wicket-taker who had been very consistent in his 40 matches T20 career as he is having 54 wickets at his name at a decent economy rate too. He is seen to take wickets at crucial times. He had taken couple of wickets during there last T20 series in 2019. Got three wickets from the last four matches.

-Tim Southee

is another impressive bowler who had taken 78 wickets from just 67 T20 International matches at a decent economy rate. He too had performed really well during there last T20 series in year 2019. Must have pick if NZ opts to bat first. Though got three wickets from the last four matches but gave many runs too.

-Ish Sodhi had

taken 6 wickets from 5 Matches during his last T20 series against IND which makes him a good pick in SL. He is an impressive bowler who had taken 53 wickets from just 43 matches at decent economy rate too. Got 6 wickets from the last four matches.

-Hamish Bennett

is a decent bowler who though hadn't played many T20 games but performed decently in domestic T20 career as he is having 49 wickets from 58 matches. His economy rate is above 10 though but can emerge out as good punt in SL today. Took 3fer & 2fer in the last two matches but gave many runs too.

 Key Players:

 IND Key Players:

 Virat Kohli:
Hit the winning runs in the super over to prove he remains an integral part of this Indian batting line-up and, if he is not rested for the final game, it is a chance to get back among the big scores.

 Shardul Thakur:
Bowled an excellent final over last time out to force a super over, taking 2-33 to move to six wickets in the series. His 20 runs with the bat also proved valuable.

 Sanju Samson:
Handed an opportunity to open the batting and he did not take it last time out. If he gets another shot, he needs to excel because Sharma and Rahul will not be easy to dislodge if he wants a place at the World Cup.

 NZ Key Players:

Colin Munro:
Showed why he is ranked so highly in the ICC World T20i rankings when he hit 64 from 47 balls at the tip of the order last time out.

Kane Williamson:
The New Zealand captain was in good batting form, hitting a half-century in the opening game and 95 from 48 balls in the third. He was missed the last time out.

Mitchell Santner:
Took a tidy 1-26 last time out, to move to three wickets in the tournament and post more economical figures. He is third in the world T20i bowling rankings.

 Team Forms:

While it has taken two super-overs in the last two games, India has nevertheless shown their dominance in this series – victory adding to success against Bangladesh, West Indies, and Sri Lanka. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma have showed good batting form, and it was their hitting in the two super overs – Sharma in the third match and Rahul in the fourth – that proved the difference.

 New Zealand:

New Zealand has lost six T20i internationals and three of those have been in a super-over. After a thrilling but unsuccessful end to their five-game series with England, they have suffered four defeats so far in this one – and yet they were in winning positions before being forced into a super over in each of the last two.

Tim Southee bowled the super over in both matches, but both times he failed to consistently hit the money and New Zealand suffered a narrow defeat on both occasions.

Rohit Sharma, Lokesh Rahul(w), Virat Kohli(c), Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube, Manish Pandey, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Sanju Samson, Kuldeep Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar, Navdeep Saini.

Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, Kane Williamson(c), Tom Bruce, Ross Taylor, Tim Seifert(w), Mitchell Santner, Scott Kuggeleijn, Tim Southee, Ish Sodhi, Hamish Bennett, Daryl Mitchell, Blair Tickner.

All the best
