 REN vs SCO Toss Prediction

Perth lost the toss for the first time in a while last time out and they were asked to field first. They may choose to do that this time though, on a more balanced wicket.

 REN vs SCO Weather Report

While it could be humid and windy in Geelong, a small amount of cloud cover should bring no other concerns with the chance of rain very low and temperatures in the high teens through the evening.

 REN vs SCO Pitch Condition

The pitch is a well-balanced one, offering something for everyone – hence its inclusion in the list of venues for the T20 World Cup.

Team NEWS:

 REN Team News

Tom Andrews continued in the derby against Melbourne Stars, with Harry Gurney having flown home for his brother’s wedding recently and then been found to have strained his hamstring. The Englishman is out for a couple of weeks at least. The Gades still have Aaron Finch and Kane Richardson available, but this will be their last match before they link up with Australia’s limited-overs squad.

 SCO Team News
Ashton Turner missed the match against Hobart Hurricanes due to illness, but the Scorchers will be keen to have him back if he is fit to face the Renegades. Tim David took his place last time out in what was the only change from the win against Brisbane Heat.

 Predicted Lineups (Playing11):

 Melbourne Renegades

Sam Harper (wk), Aaron Finch (c), Shaun Marsh, Dan Christian, Beau Webster, Tom Cooper, Will Sutherland, Cameron Boyce, Kane Richardson, Richard Gleeson, Tom Andrews.

 Key Players:

 REN Key Players:

Aaron Finch:
The Renegades captain will want to sign off in style after not yet hitting top form in this year’s tournament. He has hit two half-centuries and has 191 runs in total, but the Australian limited-overs captain is capable of much more.

Kane Richardson:
Another looking to sign off with a bang, the paceman took 1-34 last time out, while the Scorchers are one of two teams he has claimed a four-wicket haul against this season. He has now bowled in 100 T20 innings, claiming 124 wickets in total.

Shaun Marsh:

Hit a half-century when these teams last met and has added 40 and 43 in his last two matches to continue his individual good form. He now has 233 runs in this year’s tournament.

 SCO Key Players:

Liam Livingstone:
Still to live up to expectations, but the big-hitting Englishman should not be overlooked. He took one of only two wickets to fall last time out too with his part-time spin bowling.

Chris Jordan:
Could not add to his eight wickets last time out and fell cheaply with the bat too, but that is not a reflection on his recent form having starred for England in New Zealand and hit the franchise circuit in top shape too.

Fawad Ahmed:
Took his eight wicket of the tournament last time out, following up the 3-16 he took in the win against Brisbane Heat with 1-25 last time out.

 Team Forms:

 MELBOURNE RENEGADES:

Melbourne Renegades have now lost six from six after derby defeat to Melbourne Stars. After being unable to defend 153/6 against Sydney Sixers in their previous game, they scored 142/9 against the Stars with Shaun Marsh top-scoring on 43. They took just two wickets in reply, however, and lost by eight wickets with seven balls to spare.

 PERTH SCORCHERS:

Perth Scorchers could not back up what was only their second win of the BBL 2019-20 tournament against Brisbane Heat when they faced Hobart Hurricanes last time out. Against Brisbane, Fawad Ahmed took 3-16 as they bowled the Heat out for 109 to claim a 40-run win.

They conceded 180/2 against Hobart, however, and could only reach 172/8 in reply – a scoreline which flattered them, considering they were reduced to 136/8 with only 16 balls remaining.

 SQUAD:
MELBOURNE RENEGADES: Sam Harper(w), Aaron Finch(c), Shaun Marsh, Beau Webster, Daniel Christian, Andrew Fekete, Will Sutherland, Cameron Boyce, Tom Andrews, Richard Gleeson, Kane Richardson, Marcus Harris, Samit Patel.

PERTH SCORCHERS:  Liam Livingstone, Josh Inglis(w), Cameron Bancroft, Mitchell Marsh(c), Cameron Green, Chris Jordan, Tim David, Ashton Agar, Jhye Richardson, Matthew Kelly, Fawad Ahmed, Joel Paris, Sam Whiteman.
