 STA vs HEA Toss Prediction

The pitch is likely to remain the same throughout the match. So the toss-winning captain will probably choose to chase even though the last two matches here were won by the side batting first..

 STA vs HEA Weather Report

The weather for this game looks very good with clear skies and no chance of rain. It should be pretty cool in the evening with temperatures expected to hover around 20 degrees Celsius.

 STA vs HEA Pitch Condition

The MCG is generally known to produce even contests between bat and ball and it has been exactly that kind of a venue this BBL season. There has been only one high-scoring game out of the four that have been played here and 150+ has been scored in the first innings just once.

Team NEWS:

 STA Team News

Melbourne Stars have drafted Pakistan paceman, Dilbar Hussain, into their 13-man squad for Saturday night's clash against Brisbane Heat. Hussain has replaced fellow compatriots and in-form fast bowler Haris Rauf who will be going away for national duty. The Stars have left out medium-pacer Lance Morris and have included Nathan Coulter-Nile in the squad. Hilton Cartwright has sustained a fracture in his hand and will not be available for this match. Glenn Maxwell handed over the captaincy to Peter Handscomb last time out but is set to lead the Stars once again.

 HEA Team News
Brisbane Heat have made just the one change to their 13-man squad to take on the Melbourne Stars; they have picked fast bowler Jack Prestwidge and have dropped batsman Joe Burns. Mitchell Swepson was given a game last time against Sydney Sixers in place of Josh Lalor and the leg-spinner is expected to be retained for this upcoming match. The Heat are not carrying any injuries with them and they could come up with an unchanged line-up at the MCG.

WK-

-Peter Handscomb will bat at three down. He is a decent T20 batsman who is having an average of 25.1 in 80 games with a decent strike rate of 118. Though he plays a little slow but can be a good pick in SL as he is a reliable batsman. Scored decent 20,34, 22 runs in three of first seven matches and smashed a good knock of 65(39) runs in the last match too.

-Jimmy Pierson is a decent WK batsman who had played more than 50 T20 matches and batted at an average of 20.2 with strike rate near to 130. He will bat down the order and available in fewer credits too. Good pick in SL if BH opts to bat first. Scored decent 25 & 23 runs in two of the last 11 matches.

Batsman-

-Chris Lynn is a T20 specialist batsman, who is known for his hitting In the previous BBL season, he mustered 385 runs in 14 games with four half-centuries. He will be a hot favorite pick for any D11 Fantasy Side. He will open the innings and best choice of C VC in SL. Got out early in first two games though but smashed 94(35),88(55), 31 & 41 runs finally in four of the last 10 matches.

-Ab De Villiers will bat at one down. He is an experienced batsman who had played 304 T20 matches at an average of 37.49 with a strike rate near to 150. He is an attacking batsman who had smashed four centuries too in this format. Must have a pick in SL and best C VC choice. Played two decent knocks of 40 & 25 runs in two of the last four matches.

-Sam Heazlett is a decent batsman who had played 24 T20s and batted at an average of 16.56 only but his SR of more than 120 makes him a good punt in SL as he is available in only 8.0 credits and selected by fewer users too. He too got out early in the first four games but played a good knock of 56 runs in 2nd last match. Got out early again in the last match but expected to see at least a Decent knock today.

-Nic Maddinson will open the innings for MLS. He is a good batsman who has experience of playing approx 110 T20 games at an average of 21.47 with strike rate near to 130. He had batted consistently in these types of leagues with help of 10 half centuries. Good pick in SL if MLS opts to bat first. Though played only a single good knock of 40 runs from last 10 matches but took 3fer in a match. Expected to see at least a decent knock in this game and some wickets too .

-Ben Dunk is another good pick in SL considering his form last year. He is an impressive batsman who have experience of playing 125 T20 games at an average of 24.85 with a good strike rate. Good C VC choice in GL. Got out art single-digit runs in the last match.

-Matthew Renshaw is a young talent who has played 22 T20s but batted at an average of 26.3 with SR near to 130. He is a good batsman rather than a bowler as he had taken only 6 wickets.  Key Players:

 STA Key Players:

 Marcus Stoinis:
He is having an excellent tournament with the bat. The opener is leading the BBL 09 runs chart with 590 runs at an outstanding average of 65.55. Stoinis has clubbed a ton this season in addition to five fifties.

 Sandeep Lamichhane:
The young Nepali leg-spinner is having a good campaign with the ball, picking 14 wickets in 12 matches at an economy of 7.78. Lamichhane took a three-wicket haul earlier in the month in the derby game against Melbourne Renegades.

 Glenn Maxwell:
The captain has led from the front, particularly with the bat and is the danger man at the top of the order. Maxwell has scored 372 runs so far and had played a match-winning inning of 83 off just 39 balls in the reverse encounter against Brisbane Heat.

 HEA Key Players:

 Chris Lynn:
He is the leading run-scorer for Brisbane Heat this BBL having scored 339 runs at a strike-rate of 159.90. The skipper has a couple of half-centuries to his name and he recently struck a quickfire 41 against Melbourne Renegades.

 Matt Renshaw:
He has shown glimpses of good form this season and is another key figure with the bat at the top of the order. The left-handed batsman has hit two fifties, the most recent of which came last week in the home game against Adelaide Strikers.

 Ben Laughlin:
With 14 wickets in 11 matches, Ben Laughlin has been the pick of the bowlers for the Heat. The fast bowler returned figures of 3-31 in Sunday's match against the Renegades and will look to replicate that performance here.

 Team Forms:

 MELBOURNE STARS:

With 10 wins and 3 losses from 13 matches and with 20 points in the kitty, Melbourne Stars are sitting pretty at the top of the table and are the first team of the BBL 09 to have qualified for the playoffs. They once found themselves on an eight-match winning streak but consecutive defeats in the last two matches has caused them to lose all their momentum. The Stars have not been quite up to the mark with the bat on the previous two occasions, losing to Sydney Sixers by 21 runs before going down to Adelaide Strikers by 11 runs.

 BRISBANE HEAT:

Brisbane Heat find themselves in a rather precarious position - they have won five and lost seven out of the twelve matches they have played so far and are placed sixth on the BBL 2019-20 points table with 10 points. Their defeat last time out means that they have now lost four of their last five fixtures and the last three on the bounce. After losing to Adelaide Strikers by 10 wickets at the Adelaide Oval, the Heat suffered a 44-run loss to Melbourne Renegades and an eight-wicket thrashing at the hands of Sydney Sixers at the Gabba.

 SQUAD:
MELBOURNE STARS:
Nic Maddinson, Marcus Stoinis, Nick Larkin, Glenn Maxwell(c), Peter Handscomb, Seb Gotch(w), Nathan Coulter-Nile, Clint Hinchliffe, Adam Zampa, Daniel Worrall, Sandeep Lamichhane, Dilbar Hussain, Ben Dunk.

BRISBANE HEATS:
Sam Heazlett, Chris Lynn(c), Matt Renshaw, AB de Villiers, Marnus Labuschagne, Jimmy Peirson(w), Ben Cutting, James Pattinson, Mitchell Swepson, Ben Laughlin, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Jack Prestwidge, Josh Lalor.
