  • Brisbane won their meeting on January 14, in Brisbane, as James Pattinson claimed a five-fer and they bowled the Strikers out for 110.
  • The defeat means the Strikers have won just once in their last five matches, whereas Brisbane has climbed above them in the table as a result of their good form.

 STR vs HEA Toss Prediction

Adelaide Strikers won the bat flip and elected to bat first in Brisbane and that could be a winning tactic in Adelaide this time.

 STR vs HEA Weather Report

Clear, sunny and dry… Adelaide will be backing in perfect cricket weather on Friday.

 STR vs HEA Pitch Condition

Adelaide has a hard wicket, conducive to fast bowling but also big hitting and stroke play – good batting will be rewarded.

Team NEWS:

 STR Team News

Liam O’Connor slotted into the team for his first appearance of the season last time out and there could be another change with Peter Siddle having suffered a hand injury while fielding. Billy Stanlake could return to the team in his place. With Alex Carey on international duty, Travis Head is captaining the team.

 HEA Team News
AB de Villiers and Mujeeb Ur Rahman made their first appearances as overseas players last time out, while James Pattinson has joined the bowling attack and Joe Burns is available too. It means the Heat’s line-up has been stepped up several notches almost overnight. After a dominant win last time out, it could be an unchanged team.

 Predicted Lineups (Playing11):

 Adelaide Strikers

Jake Weatherald, Phil Salt, Travis Head (c), Jonathan Wells, Matthew Short, Michael Neser, Harry Nielsen (wk), Rashid Khan, Liam O’Connor, Harry Conway, Billy Stanlake.

 Brisbane Heat

Max Bryant, Chris Lynn (c), Matt Renshaw, AB de Villiers Joe Burns, Jimmy Peirson (wk), Ben Cutting, Josh Lalor, James Pattinson, Mitchell Swepson, Mujeeb Ur Rahman.

STR vs HEA Fantasy Team Guide:

 Team Guide:

Will be added soon.

 Key Players:

 STR Key Players:

Jake Weatherald:
Now Sydney Sixers’ highest ever run-scorer in the BBL, the opener has scored two half-centuries and been out in the 40s twice too so far this season.

Rashid Khan:
His late batting cameo proved entertaining at least last time out. With the ball, the Afghan spinner has taken seven wickets in his last three matches and 15 in total this season.

Travis Head:
Back in the Strikers’ line-up and captaining the team, he scored 22 and took 2-26 in his first game back and the left-hander is an important part of this batting line-up.

 HEA Key Players:

Chris Lynn:
Out on the first ball last time out, the big-hitting Aussie opener has already proved his worth with some excellent knocks to follow up the supreme hitting he showcased at the T10 League in November.
AB de Villiers:
Claimed to be in ‘some of the best form of my career’ and setting about proving it as he hit 40 from 32 balls on his first appearance last time out.

James Pattinson:
After an expensive first game back against Perth Scorchers, the Aussie test bowler was back in his stride last time out as he took five wickets – his first five-fer in T20 cricket.

 Team Forms:

 Adelaide Strikers:

Adelaide Strikers have just one win in their last five matches, and that win was against out-of-form Melbourne Renegades. Jonathan Wells scored 58 in a total of 173/6 in that game, before Peter Siddle took three wickets and Travis Head and Rashid Khan two apiece to bowl the Renegades out for 110.

Last time out, however, it was the Strikers’ turn to fold for a miserable 110 as Brisbane Heat sealed a seven-wicket win.

 Brisbane Heat:

Brisbane have won four of their last five matches, bouncing back from defeat to Perth Scorchers by beating Adelaide Strikers last time out. Tom Banton hit a half-century in his final appearance but could not lead the Heat to 214 against the Scorchers – Brisbane instead replying to 213/3 with 179/8.

The bowlers were much improved last time out, however – James Pattinson leading the show with 5-33 from four overs as they bowled Adelaide out for 110 and stormed to a seven-wicket win in 15.2 overs.

ADELAIDE STRIKERS: Jake Weatherald, Philip Salt, Travis Head(c), Jonathan Wells, Harry Nielsen(w), Matthew Short, Rashid Khan, Michael Neser, Peter Siddle, Wes Agar, Harry Conway, Billy Stanlake, Liam O Connor.

BRISBANE HEAT:  Max Bryant, Chris Lynn(c), AB de Villiers, Matt Renshaw, Joe Burns, Ben Cutting, Jimmy Peirson(w), James Pattinson, Josh Lalor, Ben Laughlin, Jack Prestwidge, Mitchell Swepson, Mujeeb Ur Rahman.

All the best
