 THU vs STA Toss Prediction

This looks like a bat-first wicket. All the matches played at the Sydney Showground Stadium last season were won by the side batting first. So the toss-winning team may want to bat first.

 THU vs STA Weather Report

Partly cloudy skies and a moderate breeze have been forecast for this game. The chances of rain, however, are extremely low. Temperature is expected to be around 25 degrees Celsius.

 THU vs STA Pitch Condition

A good batting pitch is expected to be prepared for this game. Five matches were played at this venue last BBL season and 150+ was scored on four occasions.

Team NEWS:

 THU Team News

Sydney Thunder made just the one change to their side for the last match against Adelaide Strikers; they replaced Chris Tremain by Nathan McAndrew who is expected to retain his place for this upcoming clash against Melbourne Stars. Alex Ross was sent in at number four while wicketkeeper Matthew Gilkes was pushed down the order. Off-spinner Chris Green, who did a good job in the powerplay last time, is likely to lead the attack again.

 STA Team News
Melbourne Stars had made only one change in their line-up against Hobart Hurricanes - they dropped Hilton Cartwright who has not looked at his best and brought in Nick Larkin. The latter failed to trouble the scorers but he could be given another opportunity to secure his place in the side. The Stars are coming off a win and so they might go into this game unchanged.

 Predicted Lineups (Playing11):

 Sydney Thunder

Usman Khawaja, Alex Hales, Callum Ferguson (c), Alex Ross, Chris Morris, Daniel Sams, Chris Green, Matthew Gilkes (wk), Arjun Nair, Nathan McAndrew, Jonathan Cook.

THU vs STA Fantasy Team Guide:

 Team Guide:

-Peter Handscomb will bat at two down He is a decent T20 batsman who is having average of 23.54 in 75+ games with decent strike rate of 116. Though he plays little slow but can be good pick in SL as he is a reliable batsman. Scored decent 20,34 & 22runs in three of last four matches.

-Matthew Gilkes is selected by 24% users only who can bat at top order sometimes. Played less than 10 T20 matches and batted at an average of 17 in them with good SR too. Good credit saver punt in GL. Didn't managed to play even a decent knock in last 5 Matches.

-Alex Hales will open the innings for Thunder. He is an experienced batsman who had played more than 235 matches and batted at an average of 29 with good SR too. He has smashed three centuries and 41 half centuries from these matches . Another good pick in SL and choice of C VC. Played two good knock of 68 & 32 runs from last 5 Matches.

-Usman Khwaja has been very impressive in every format of the game and currently in good form as seen in last couple of series. He is having Average of 31 in 70+ T20s with help of two centuries too. Another good C VC choice in SL.

-Alex Ross is selected by only 18% users and will bat at two down. He has played 50+ T20s and batted at an average of 27 with good SR . Played really well in AUS ODD recently. Good pick in SL if ST opts to bat first. Scored decent 30, 11', 25 & 19 runs in last four of five matches.
