Team NEWS:

 WI Team News

Jason Holder has been rested for this series, as he was with the ODI series, while fellow all-rounders Keemo Paul and Fabian Allen are out injured. That will hand a seamless return to veteran Dwayne Bravo – playing his first T20i since 2016 – who can slot in to replace them in the middle order. Lendl Simmons joins the squad too, as do Rovman Powell and Sherfane Rutherford – none of whom featured in the ODI series.

 IRE Team News
George Dockrell, Joshua Little and Harry Tector come into the Irish squad for this T20i series, while Gareth Delany could be recalled to the team after he missed the final ODI after failing to make his mark in the first two. From the most recent T20i Ireland played, against Namibia in their final match at the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier, Dockrell is likely to return to the team.

 Predicted Lineups (Playing11):

 West Indies

Evin Lewis, Lendl Simmons, Brandon King, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Kieron Pollard (c), Dwayne Bravo, Sheldon Cottrell, Hayden Walsh Jr, Romario Shepherd, Khary Pierre.

 Ireland

Paul Stirling, Kevin O’Brien, Andrew Balbirnie (c), Gareth Delany, Harry Tector, Gary Wilson (wk), Mark Adair, Simi Singh, George Dockrell, Craig Young, Boyd Rankin.

 Key Players:

 WI Key Players:

 Evin Lewis:
Comes into this series on the back of scoring 99* in the first ODI and 102 in the third to prove his form at the top of the order.

 Dwayne Bravo:
The veteran’s return bolsters the West Indian attack and also provides some lower-order hitting too. Hugely popular on the T20 franchise circuit, he comes into this series needing just ten more wickets for 500 in the format. No other bowler comes close.

 Hayden Walsh Jr:
The former USA international was handed his West Indies chances after impressing in the Caribbean Premier League, and his four wickets in the most recent ODI was are reminder of what he can do with his leg-spin.

 SCO Key Players:

 Paul Stirling:
The big-hitting opener, who scored a half-century in the second ODI, has hit 16 50s in T20i cricket and boasts a strike rate of 137.68 in the format. Three of those half-centuries came as he top-scored for Ireland at the T20 World Cup Qualifier.

 Gareth Delany:
Fell short in the first two ODIs, but he had earned his shot after scoring 50 runs and taking nine wickets during the T20 World Cup Qualifier.

 Boyd Rankin:
The giant seamer is fairly consistent with the ball in T20 cricket, taking 105 wickets in 93 innings but also bowling with a good economy rate with an opening bowler too.

 Team Forms:

 West Indies:

West Indies are looking to end a run of four consecutive T20i series defeats, though they have won one game apiece in the last two – against Afghanistan and then India. Playing India last time out, they failed to defend 207/5 in the first game after Shimron Hetmyer’s half-century but Lendl Simmons’ 67* from 45 balls helped them chase 171 for an eight-wicket win to level the series. In the decider, however, the Indian batsmen dominated to claim a 67-run win.

 Ireland:

Ireland’s last T20 internationals were in the UAE as they qualified for next year’s T20 World Cup. Though not always at their best, they managed to grab first place in their group as other results worked in their favour in the final round of fixtures and eventually finished third overall. Paul Stirling led the way with the bat, scoring 291 runs including three half-centuries, while Mark Adair finished with 12 wickets in eight matches to top the bowling charts.

 SQUAD:
West Indies:
