 SA vs ENG  Toss Prediction

Both teams have fielded first after winning the toss so far in this series, but that may not be the case as they head to the batting heaven that is Wanderers.

 SA vs ENG Weather Report

A break in the weather means this game could start on time despite the amount of rain around, but the prospect of rain and scattered thunderstorms increases as the day goes on.

 SA vs ENG Pitch Condition

The Wanderers is famously a batting wicket. South Africa have won 26 of their 35 ODIs there, and have lost only one of the last nine their have played here.

Team NEWS:

 SA Team News

Bjorn Fortuin made his debut last time out, replacing Lungi Ngidi, while Janneman Malan and Kyle Verreynne are both still awaiting opportunities. Knowing England are set to rotate players, the Proteas could do likewise.

 ENG  Team News
England were unchanged for the second match of the series but is expected to make changes for the final match. That would mean an ODI debut for Saqib Mahmood and Dawid Malan coming in up the order too. Jonny Bairstow could make way, with Tom Banton taking the gloves. Banton could also be pushed up to open.

SA vs ENG Fantasy Team Guide:

 Team Guide:

 WK-

-Quinton de Kock
will open the innings for SA. He is an experienced batsman who had played 116 ODI matches and batted at an average of 45+ with a good strike rate too. He is an impressive batsman who had been very consistent in his career till now. Must have pick in SL and choice of C VC too. Scored match-winning knock of 107 from 113 balls.

-Jonny Bairstow
will open the innings for the ENG. He is an attacking batsman who had batted at a strike rate of 103+ with an average of 47.21 in 74 ODI matches. He is another must-have pick in SL who usually scores a good amount of runs. C VC choice too in SL considering his form in this format as he is having 2 centuries and a couple of decent knocks too from the last 5 matches though got out early in the first match.

 Batsman-

-Joe Root
will bat at one down. He is an experienced and reliable batsman who had batted at an average of 51+ in 144 ODI matches with a strike rate near to 100. Though he had failed to perform well last year but expected to see a top knock in this match. Good pick in SL and choice of Punt C VC too as he is having a good record against SA by scoring 545 runs in just 11 matches.

-Jason Roy
will open the innings for ENG. He is an attacking batsman who had batted at an average of 42+ at a strike rate of 107+ in 85 ODI matches. He had batted really well in the last 5 matches by scoring 50+ runs three times. Though he is available in 10.0 credits but popular pick in SL considering his form. Punt C VC choice if you are able to manage credit.

-Eoin Morgan
had performed really well against SA by scoring 565 runs from 20 matches at an average of 39. He is another impressive batsman who will bat at two down. He had played 234 ODI matches at an average of 39+ with a decent strike rate too. Good pick in SL as he is available in fewer credits than Roy and Root. Good C VC choice too especially if ENG opts to bat first.

-Joe Denly
will bat at three down. He had performed really well in test matches last year with the bat. He is available in fewer credits and selected by fewer users too but his form is pretty impressive so becomes good punt choice in SL. Batted decent in his short ODI career of 14 matches. Scored 87 in the last match. Best C VC choice in GL.

-RVD Dussen
will bat at two down. Though he had played only 18 ODI matches but batted at an average of 78 with decent strike rate too. He had performed well last year in a couple of T20 leagues and international matches too. A popular pick in SL and punt C VC choice too. Scored a decent amount of runs to lift his team to win.

-Reeza Hendrick
will open the innings for SA. He had performed very well in a couple of T20 leagues last year but failed to perform well in ODI matches as he is having an average of 25+ only from 19 matches. Expected to perform better in this match considering his recent form. Good credit saver picks in SL.

-Temba Bavuma
will bat at one down He is a must-have pick in SL considering his consistency since his international debut last year as he had smashed runs at an average of 80.50 in 2 ODI matches. Available in fewer credits so becomes a good pick in SL as he is a reliable batsman. Scored match-winning knock of 98.

-David Miller
will bat at three down. He is an experienced batsman who had batted at an average of 38+ from 127 matches with a good strike rate too. He had performed decently in BBL this year. Good pick in SL as he is available in fewer credits and selected by fewer users too.

 All Rounder-

-Chris Woakes
is a good batsman and impressive bowler too. He had played 99 ODI matches, batted at an average of 25.02 and taken 143 wickets too from these matches. Must have pick in as especially if ENG opts to bowl first as his Batting is likely not to come.

-Andile Phehlukwayo
will do the late hitting and bowl full overs too. He is a wicket-taker bowler who had taken wickets consistently as he is having 64 wickets at his name from 52 matches and batted at an average of 32.29 with good strike rate too. Must have a pick in SL as SA his batting is likely to come and bowl full overs too.

~

-Sam Curran
will do the late hitting for ENG and bowl at least 5-6 overs too. Though he doesn't have much experience of playing ODI cricket but he had performed really well in FC & List A Career by batting at decent average and taking wickets at regular intervals. Good pick in SL.

-Moeen Ali
will bat in middle order and bowl full overs too. He is a must-have pick in SL and punt C VC choice too. He had batted at an average of 25.59 in 101 ODI matches and taken 84 wickets too. Expected to take a couple of wickets in this match and scored decent runs too if plays.

-JJ Smuts
will bat in middle order and bowl a couple of overs too. He had performed well last year during MSL. He is available in fewer credits and selected by fewer users too so becomes good punt in SL.

-Tom Curran
is a good bowler who had taken wickets consistently last year in a couple of T20 leagues and international cricket too. He is a good batsman too as he is having an average of 48.25 in 18 matches and taken 27 wickets. Another good pick in SL if ENG opts to bowl first.

-Adil Rashid

-Beauren Hendricks
is a decent bowler who though doesn't have much experience of playing ODI matches but his record in FC & List A cricket makes him a good credit saver punt in SL. His economy rate is quite impressive which makes him a good C VC choice in GL.

-Tabraiz Shamsi
is a decent bowler who had taken 22 wickets from 18 matches at an economy rate of 5.34 only. He is available in fewer credits and selected by fewer users so he becomes a good pick in SL.

-Lungi Ngidi
is a must-have pick in SL who had taken 41 wickets from 23 ODI matches at an economy rate of 5.56 only. He had performed really well last year in ODI & T20 cricket. Wicket taker bowler who is expected to take at least two wickets in this match.

-Bjorn Fortuin
is a decent bowler he had performed really well in FC & List A career recently and in T20 leagues too. Good credit saver punt in SL.

After 15 ODI innings, the middle-order batsman now averages 78 in the format, having hit seven half-centuries so far.

 Team Forms:

 SOUTH AFRICA:

South Africa are looking to continue their winning streak in ODI cricket, having signed off from an otherwise disappointing World Cup with two wins and then started this series with a victory too. Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma starred in the opening game, sharing a big second-wicket partnership that ensured the Proteas made light work of reaching 259/3 to win by seven wickets. Both men had been dismissed in the small amount of play possible last time out in the second ODI, but South Africa’s fast scoring rate meant the game was still evenly poised at the time.

 ENGLAND:

Given this is their first series since England are still looking for their first ODI victory since winning the World Cup in a super over against New Zealand last summer. They scored 258/8 in the first game of this series, as Joe Denly rescued them following a poor start, but the score was still below par as they suffered a seven-wicket defeat. Joe Root and Chris Jordan picked up wickets before the rain-curtailed the second ODI after just 11.2 overs, meanwhile.

 SQUAD:
 SOUTH AFRICA:
Quinton de Kock(w/c), Reeza Hendricks, JJ Smuts, Rassie van der Dussen, Temba Bavuma, David Miller, Andile Phehlukwayo, Lungi Ngidi, Bjorn Fortuin, Beuran Hendricks, Tabraiz Shamsi, Janneman Malan, Sisanda Magala, Lutho Sipamla, Kyle Verreynne.
